Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga has ended his stay at Onduparaka, the former Express and URA player has confirmed.

The shot-stopper who renewed his stay at the club last year, has terminated his contract that was set to expire at the end of this season.

Muwanga has been an outstanding player at Onduparaka having featured in all the 14 games in the first round, managing four cleansheets.

He joined the Caterpillars after ending his stay at Express where he had won the League and named the best goalkeeper in the 2020/21 season.

The experienced shot-stopper was also named the best goalkeeper of the 2015/16 season during his stay at Sadolin Paints FC.

Muwanga leaves the Club at the bottom of the 15-team pile with only seven points after 14 games.

And with the second round around the corner, Onduparaka will have Norman Angufidru step up as the first choice goalkeepers as it stands.

Muwanga was part of the provisional Uganda Cranes squad for CHAN 2022 but didn’t make the final cut.
