URA FC winger Joachim Ojera has joined Rwandese top flight side Rayon Sports on a seasonal long loan.
The club confirmed this on Saturday morning via its official website.
“We would like to announce that our right winger Joackiam Ojera has joined Rwanda Premier League side Rayon Sports FC on loan for a period of five months until end of the season after both parties reaching an agreement,” reads a statement from URA FC.
Ojera becomes the first player in URA’s history to join a foreign club on loan.
But this season, the pacy winger has been out of action for the best part of the season and reports have it that he fell out with some of the top officials at the club.
And his only playing time came in the just concluded FUFA drum tournament that was won by West Nile.
The move to Rayon Sports will surely be a stepping stone for Ojera to revive his career and earn more playing time.
At Rayon Sport, he joins another Ugandan player, Musa Esenu who joined the side last year from Bul FC.
On his arrival, Ojera finds Rayon Sports in the Second position with 31 points after 16 games this season and they are just two points below leaders Kigali.
Their next assignment will be an away game to 8th placed Mukura and Ojera will most likely mark his debut.
