Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) will earn $300,000 as prize money for Uganda Cranes after their 2022 CHAN exploits.
The Sh1.1bn (converted to local currency), is a result of the Cranes finishing third in Group B at the ongoing CHAN tournament in Algeria.
This has been confirmed by CAF who have increased the prize money for the tournament by 60%.

The winner will bank $2m, an increment from $1.25m received by Morocco for winning the 2020 edition in Cameroon.
The move is an initiative of CAF Patrice Motsepe to increase value for the competition that is competed for by locally based players.
The Competition that faces a bleak future, has failed to garner interest and coverage especially from African powerhouses including Egypt and Tunisia who have withdrawn from previous editions.
The Sh1.1bn to Uganda Cranes will be a consolation for Micho’s side who missed qualification to their first ever knockout stage following a 3-1 defeat to Ivory Coast.
The Cranes came into the last day needing a draw after picking four points from opening two games against DR Congo and Senegal.
