Uganda Cranes captain Emmanuel Okwi has joined Iraq Premier League side Erbil Sports Club.
The 30-year-old joins from Al-Zawraa Sports club, another Iraq premier League side he had joined last year in September.
His official unveiling was made on Wednesday via Erbil Sports Club official club social media handles.
“Officially the administration team of our club signed a contract with the Ugandan national player Emmanuel Okwi for the purpose of playing in the line of football team in the premier League of Iraq,” reads a statement from the club.

Before moving to Iraq last year for top tier side Al Zawraa, Okwi was at Rwanda premier League side Kiyovu Sports.
But his time at Al Zawraa has been limited as he has only spent three and half months at the club.
The journey man has previously featured for SC Villa, Simba, Young Africans, Etoile Du Sahel, Al Ittihad (Egypt) and Kiyovu Sports (Rwanda).
On his arrival, he finds Erbil in the 12th position after 12 games in the Iraq premier League this season.
Their next assignment will be a home game this week on Friday against Naft Al- Janoob and Okwi will most likely mark his debut at his new home.
