Ghana fought down down to overcome Sudan in a thrilling Group C game at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The Galaxies won 3-1 on Thursday at the Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine, Algeria.
Al Gozoli Nooh scored for Sudan at the half-hour mark but Sudan couldn’t hold onto their lead and Ghana levelled just at the stroke of halftime through Kanadu Yiadom.
Daniel Afriyie made it 2-1 from the spot after he was brought down in the area to complete a comeback
However, Afriyie was later sent off for a foul on Walieldin Safour but Ghana scored the third through Seidu Suraj to seal the win.
Ghana move to three points, level with Madagascar who beat them 2-1 on January 15.
This is a three-team group C after Morocco’s withdrawal and CAF confirmed that two teams out of this group will progress to the quarters.
Ghana are done with their two games and will be hoping that Sudan fail to beat Madagascar to guarantee their place in the knockout.
