Kitara FC forward Patrick Henry Kaddu scored a match winning goal as his side fought back in their 2-1 victory Over Adjumani TC in a FUFA Big league game held at Kigaaya Play grounds.

The visitors Adjumani TC had earlier taken the lead through Micheal Ajila who scored from well taken free kick in the 43rd minute to put his side ahead before the break.

But Kitara responded through their Captain Paddy Muhumuza, who levelled matters in the 67th minute before Kaddu scored the second from the spot with eight minutes to play to complete a come back.

Adjumani finished the game with a man less after Issein Badru was shown matching orders for a foul on Patrick Kaddu in the second stanza.

The win, ninth for Kitara ensured that they extended their lead at the top. They moved to 30 points, one point above second placed Mbarara City, who picked a 1-0 win over Kaaro Karungi at Kakyeka on Thursday.

For Adjumani, their woes continued as they suffered their eight loss of the season. They dropped to 15th and are now second from the bottom with 12 points after 14 games in the season.

Elsewhere, chasers NEC FC suffered a 2-0 defeat to Kyetume in a game held at Nakisunga Ssaza grounds on Thursday.

It was a bad in office for NEC and the loss is a big blow in their bid to keep pressure on leaders Kitara FC.

The loss, third for NEC saw them drop to the third and are now on 27 points, three below leaders Kitara.
