Friendly: Moses Waiswa Rescues Cranes Against Cameroon

Midfielder Moses Waiswa scored in the second half to help Uganda Cranes avoid defeat against Cameroon in a Pre-CHAN friendly encounter.

Waiswa who came off the bench, leveled matters with 10 on the clock after Debami Kemaju had given Cameroon a lead at Stade Chedly Zouiten in Tunis.

It was a beauty of goal; with his KCCA teammate Rogers Mato fouled on the left side of the attack, Waiswa showed technique to plant it at near post with precision from a difficult angle.

This is the second friendly as the team had drawn 2-2 with Sudan on Tuesday.

Coach Micho said: “After 180 minutes, we have scored three goals and that is important. We have seen the areas we need to address going forward.”

“We gave some players who didn’t start against Sudan some time and this gave us a proper assessment of where we stand.”

The Cranes, preparing for CHAN in Algeria, will have their final build up game against West African side Mali on Sunday.
