Riticia Nabbosa scores on debut in Tanzania

Uganda Crested Cranes midfielder Riticia Nabbosa scored on her debut as her new side Fountain Gate Princess FC suffered a 2-1 defeat to Simba Queens in the ongoing Serengeti Lite Women’s premier League.

Nabbosa, making her debut, scored the first goal of the game in the 15th minute to put her side ahead.

But the hosts, Simba Queens levelled matters through their Captain Opah Clement, who scored from the spot in the 32nd minute before Ashar Djafar scored the second in the 62nd minute as they completed a come back.

The loss, first for Nabbosa’s side saw them drop points for the first time in the season.

For Simba Queens, they moved to seven points in the second position, two below leaders Fountain Gate Princess after four games in the season.

But despite the defeat, Fountain Gate Princess are still on top with nine points after four games in the season.

It was Nabbosa’s first game for Fountain Gate Princess, a side he joined recently this week.

Previously, Nabbosa was at FUFA Women Super League side Lady Doves, where she had spent the past seasons.

And having scored her first at a new side, Nabbosa will seeking for more to cement a starting place in the team.
