Reports: Robertinho Linked To Simba After Vipers Exit

Coach Roberto Oliveira is strongly linked to a move to Tanzanian giants Simba SC after parting ways with UPL holders Vipers.

Vipers, on Thursday, announced the departure of the Brazilian who was appointed in August 2021.

Simba who parted ways with Zoran Manoljovic this year, are currently under caretaker Juma Mgunda.

The club is seeking for a reputable coach to steer them through the forthcoming CAF Champions League where they are pitted alongside Vipers (Uganda), Raja Casablanca (Morocco) and Horoya (Guinea).

Reports suggest that the move to Simba will reunite Robertinho with his former striker Caesar Manzoki who also linked to join the side.

At Vipers, Robertinho helped the side win the Uganda Cup in his first season, added the league last season before taking the club to the CAF Champions League groups for the first time.

Robertinho played at Fluminense, Flamengo and Palmeiras among other clubs in Brazil Serie A.

He has coached Fluminense and also had stints in Africa with Stade Tunisien and Rayon Sports.
