Kitara extended their lead at the top following their 4-0 comfortable win over Luweero United in a FUFA Big League game held at Kigaaya play grounds on thursday.

Goals from Patrick Kaddu, John Kisaakye, Edson Agondeze and Stewart Akugizibwe were enough as the Royals picked a deserved win at home.

The win, eighth for Kitara this season saw them move to 26 points, one above second placed Mbarara City who thrashed Soroti City 6-0 at the same at Kakyeka.

That victory also ensured that Kitara climaxed the year in style to sum up their good start they have enjoyed after 12 games.

For Luweero United, they sufered their fifth defeat of the season and they now stay 9th with 15 points after 12 games.

Elsewhere, NEC FC were denied at Bugolobi as they drew goalless against Jinja North United.

The game, held at coffee grounds in Bugolobi saw limited chances from both sides .

NEC had the best chance to score at half time but their Captain Marvin Kavuma missed from the spot to sum up a frustrating day for them.

The draw saw NEC FC drop to the third position after Mbarara City picked maximum points against Soroti City to leapfrog them. They are now on 24 points but remained unbeaten at home.

For Jinja North, they moved to 19 points and are now fifth on the log after 12 games.
