Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovich has finally summoned Nelson Ssenkatuka to the team that start preparations for the forthcoming CHAN tournament.
The Bright Stars striker was earlier snubbed from the initial 35-man squad called on Tuesday.
Later on in the day, he went on to show his class with an assist to Emmanuel Peter Loki as Bright Stars stunned KCCA at Kavumba.
As the team start training on Thursday at Lugogo, FUFA has confirmed that Ssenkatuka will be part of the squad.
The snub left fans wondering after Ssenkatuka was the joint-leading scorer in the league with seven goals.
Fred Amaku, also on seven, Express winger Allan Kayiwa, Yunus Sentamu and Karim Ndugwa were the other players left out of the squad.
The tournament competed for by local-based players, kicks off on January 13 2023 in Algeria.
Uganda are pitted in Group B alongside heavy weights DR Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast.
