Express Fire Blanks Against Blacks Power

Wednesday, December 21
*Onduparaka 5-1 UPDF
*Express 0-0 Blacks Power
*BUL 5-0 Maroons

Express failed to find the back of the net against Blacks Power to end their first round on a low note.

The game at Wankulukuku ended goalless as the Red Eagles failed to return to winning ways.

Express lacked composure in the final third and skewed away some scoring opportunities.

Youngster Hassan Mubiru looped over the bar with the keeper beaten in the opening exchanges.

Mustafa Ntege rattled the crossbar but it wouldn’t have counted after the referee called for an offside.

Arthur Kiggundu headed direct at the keeper while substitute Ivan Mayanja forced a save from the keeper before Faisal Ssekyanzi failed to find the target.

Express have gone four straight home games without scoring a single goal, and are winless in their seven games since that forfeiture win over Busoga United.

Express finish the first round in 9th with 14 points from as many games.

Blacks Power, who drew 1-1 in their last game against Onduparaka, jump out of the relegation zone with 11 points.
