Preview: Gaddafi seek to bounce back against struggling URA
Gaddafi will be seeking to return to winning ways when they welcome URA in a lunch time kick off game at Kakindu stadium.
The Wasswa Bbosa coached side suffered a 3-1 defeat to UPDF in their previous game last week at Bombo.
Back at home, they will have eyes on maximum points so as to finish the first round on a high.
In URA, they welcome a side that has struggled for results since the start and they will bank on that to get the job done at home.
They have been inconsistent this season, picking points here and there and have struggled in most games to deliver.
But this being their last home game this year, Gaddafi will bank on that to give their home fans joy as they set sights on the second round.
Meanwhile, the visitors, URA, will be seeking to end their first round on a winning note when they take a visit to Jinja.
It’s been a poor start for the Tax Collectors who have struggled since the start.
2 wins, 8 draws and picked 14 points in 13 games sums up how poor URA have been this season.
They come into tuesday game having drawn 1-1 against Villa at home in Nakisunga, a game that extended their winless streak.
Pressure is now on head coach Sam Timbe to deliver and the game against Gaddafi presents another test before the first rounds climaxes.
Their Captain Nafian has admitted that they want to end the first round on a high note.
“We are prepared for this last game of this first round. We want to enter the festive season with joy, we want to ignore the past and end one high ¹so that we plan for the next round, he told the club’s media on Monday.
Against Gaddafi, they face a side that is also hungry to bounce back having lost their previous encounter.
But this being their last game of the first round, Sam Timbe will task his men to rise up to the occasion and stage a better performance so as to finish the year on a winning note.
