Morocco Die Fighting As France Reach Final

Wednesday, December 14
•France 2-0 Morocco

Morocco put up a fight but it proved not enough as they suffered a 2-0 loss in their World Cup semifinal against France.

Goals from Theo Hernandez and Kolo Muani handed Les Blues a trip to the final.

Hernandez scored a scrappy goal in opening exchanges after Morocco failed to clear their lines.

But Morocco kept pushing and came close on several occasions but couldn’t cross the line.

And substitute Muani tapped home the second late in the game after neat play from Kylian Mbappe to end Morocco’s fairly tale.

The Atlas Lions will not be packing though, they will be facing Croatia on Saturday in the Bronze medal match.

Walid Regragui and his charges will bow out with pride after becoming the first African side to play at the World Cup semifinal.

They achieved the fate after knocking out Spain (Round of 16) and Portugal (Quarters).

France will be seeking to defend their title they won in 2018 in Russia, but Argentina on the other hand, will be banking on Lionel Messi to do the magic.
