Wakiso Giants have returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win against Bright Stars in a UPL game played at Kavumba.

Frank Ssebuufu’s first half header and Shariph Kimbowa second half strike saw Wakiso Giants end Bright Stars four matches wining streak.

It’s Wakiso’s third away win of the season which help them move to 4th, with 24 points, tied with Vipers and BUL.

Bright Stars looked more likely to score after dominating initial stages but Samson Kirya proved too good when he denied Ibrahim Kasinde before saving Nelson Senkatuuka’s close attempt.

Five minutes to halftime, Ssebuufu rose highest to head in Alex Komakech’s well elevated cross at the far left top corner.

Just before halftime, Grant Matsiko had a chance to make it 2-0 but Hassan Matovu proved too good in a one on one situation.

At the start of second half, substitute Ivan Irinimbabazi nearly brought the hosts back but his header was finger tipped into a corner.

In the 65th minute, Kimbowa got the second when he squeezed in between Matovu’s leg at near post.
