Preview: Table leaders KCCA Face BUL test in Early Kick-off

KCCA FC face a tough task as they visit tricky BUL FC in an early kickoff match of the Uganda Premier league at FUFA technical centre in Njeru.

The Kasasiro boys are eager to extend their seven games unbeaten run but will have to double their efforts if they are to stop a BUL side.

BUL FC sit third on the table with 23 points and a win will see them move top above KCCA FC but coach Morley Byekwaso remains positive of picking maximum points.

“We hope to do our best and we know what is at stake. BUL FC are third on the table and will want to get to the top if they win but we want to maintain our position at the top too,” Byekwaso said.

“BUL have just been playing on the continent and they are hard to crack when at home but we know what we have to do to pick something positive from the game.”

KCCA FC have seen their away performance improve as they have won their last three away games without conceding a goal despite starting poorly playing away from home with two consecutive defeats against Arua Hill and Maroons.

They have gone on to pick a 1-0 win against UPDF, a massive 3-0 victory against SC Villa and a 2-0 win against Onduparaka.

They will have to rely on the form of their midfielders Allan Okello and Moses Waiswa who have had a six-goal involvement in their last five games.

BUL FC come into the KCCA FC game after back to back wins as they bounced back from a huge blow of losing to Bright Stars in their second loss of the season and they will have to bank on a massive home record where they have won all their five games.

Losing to Bright Stars 2-0 away from home seemed to be a wake up call as Alex Isabirye’s boys have gone on to pick maximum points from Wakiso Giants in a 2-1 victory and an away win against Arua Hill by a 1-0 score.

Their head coach Alex Isabirye is eager to fight for maximum points: “We are ready for the game, and we expect to win it despite having around four players sidelined. KCCA is on form and leading the table and they are one of the most organised teams with top notch coaches who can make the game a bit hard.”

“We need to win. We need the three points, the position in which we finished last season and we need to improve on that and finish a bit higher this time.”

BUL FC have failed to win in their last three league meetings against KCCA, only picking a 1-1 draw in their last home game.
