FUFA Suspends Derrick Ndahiro

The Fufa Competitions disciplinary panel has suspended URA left back Derrick Ndahiro for indiscipline.

It is said that after URA FC’s game on Friday 2nd this month against Blacks Power that ended goalless at Nakisunga Ssaza grounds, Ndahiro used abusive and offensive words towards match officials that day.

And following a review and reports from the officials, the disciplinary panel found Ndahiro guilty and thus being penalised.

Ndahiro has been suspended for two competition matches effective 12th December 2022.

The statement from the Disciplinary panel reads.

“The Competitions Disciplinary Panel relied on match reports which state that on the Startimes Uganda Premier League match 73 URA Fc vs Blacks Power Fc played on Friday 2nd December 2022 at Nakisunga Saza Ground Mukono. After the match, player No.13 Derrick Ndahiiro abused the 2nd assistant referee using offensive language and insulting words.

The Competitions Disciplinary panel therefore suspends Ndahiiro Derrick for two competition matches effective immediately as of 12th December 2022.

The management of the club is directed to ensure implementation of the above sanction or it will suffer the consequences of fielding ineligible persons.”

The decision is a big blow to Ndahiro and his side URA, who have struggled since the start of this season.

Currently, the Tax Collectors are in the 11th position with only 13 points and have only managed two wins in 13 games.

Ndahiro will start his suspension as URA host SC Villa this week on Saturday 17th and will also sit out as they visit Gaddafi on 21st.
