Uganda’s representatives Vipers will on Monday learn their CAF Champions League group opponents at the draw that will be held at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt slated at 3pm (Ugandan time).
The Venoms are set to compete in CAF Champions League group stage for the first time in the Club’s history.
They beat TP Mazembe 4-2 in shootouts to confirm their place in the groups, having eliminated Olympic Real De Bangui in the first round of the qualifiers.
The groups will begin on 10 February 2023 and end on 1 April 2023 – Teams will face off on a home and away round robin basis. The winners and runners-up of each group will advance to the Quarterfinals of the knockout stage.
Vipers are in Pot 4 and will be getting one of Pot 1 teams Al Ahly, Wydad, Esperance and Raja Casablanca.
Wydad are the defending champions after beating Al Ahly in the 2022 final.
