Shaban Opens KCCA Account To Compound Onduparaka Misery

Friday, December 2
*Onduparaka 0-2 KCCA

Mohammed Shaban scored his first goal for KCCA since returning at the club against his pay masters Onduparaka.

Allan Okello had earlier put KCCA in the lead from the spot as KCCA FC won 2-0 in a league game played at Bombo Barracks.

After a scrappy start, KCCA were awarded a penalty after Rashid Okocha tripped Rogers Mato in the area.

It was a reckless foul to give away after Mato was heading out of the box to chase a rebound after his initial shot was parried out by goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga.

And from the resultant penalty, Okello sent goalkeeper Muwanga the wrong way for the opener after the half-hour mark.

Shaban got his name on the scoresheet when he chased a through-ball from Okello, left Bernard Ndifuna for dead, before slotting past Muwanga.

The result leaves Onduparaka without a win this season after 10 games. It was also their last game hosting at Bombo after completing their FUFA ban of home games hosting at a neutral venue behind closed doors.

The win sends KCCA on top with 22 points, and extends the club’s dominance against Onduparaka who have one win in 12 meetings!

It’s the third straight victory for KCCA as Morley Byekwaso’s side looks to have turned the corner.
