Depleted Arua Hill Hand Express Third Straight Loss

*BUL 2-1 Wakiso Giants
*Express 0-1 Arua Hill
*URA SC 0-0 Blacks Power
*Onduparaka 0-2 KCCA

Express fell to Arua Hill 1-0 in a league game played at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Isaac Ogwang scored the only goal of the game to inflict a third straight loss to Express who earlier lost to Bright Stars and Wakiso Giants.

The goal can be blamed on Issa Lumu who lost possession at the box edge for Innocent Maduka to head Ogwang into space before the latter brilliantly finished.

The Red Eagles paid price for a lethargic first half, but despite their improvement in the second, they failed to find a leveller.

Ivan Mayanja got the best chances including one that rattled the crossbar.

Mayanja twice headed over after good crosses from Joseph Dhata and Arthur Kiggundu.

Express had a late penalty denied when Joseph Akandanwaho went down easily from Rahid Toha challenge.

Arua Hill had a chance to finish it off when substitute Jacob Kamwesiga benefited from a poor keeper’s clearance, but he wasn’t able to beat the shot-stopper in a one-on-one.

It was a good show from the Kongolos who missed a couple of players, not to mention head coach Livingston Mbabazi and his assistant.

Bright Vuni and Richard Anyama, just like the two coaches, were suspended by FUFA for confronting a referee in a loss at Gaddafi.

Richard Matovu, Gadafi Kacancu, Geriga Atendele, Samuel Sekamatte, Paul Musamali, Allan Mugalu and Ibrahim Faizul were also listed as absentees before kickoff.

Arua Hill move to fifth with 16 points while Express slip to 7th with 14.

What Next – Express visit KCCA on December 9 while Arua Hill welcome BUL at Barifa on December 6.
