SC Villa: Coach Magera Reveals why They Lost to KCCA

SC Villa head coach Jackson Magera has revealed various reasons following their loss to KCCA on Friday.

The Joggos, playing their first game in Lira succumbed to a 3-0 loss to the Kasasiro Boys in what is termed as the Kampala derby.

Speaking after the game, Magera said that his players were fatigued as they faced challenges on their way to Lira.

“The game has been very bad but the problem we were so fatigued, we reached in the morning and the vehicle got a mechanical problem on the way so we didn’t have enough recovery,” Magera said after the game.

It was a frustrating day for Villa, who were starting a new life in Lira as they will host the next four home games at the same venue following their ban from Fufa.

By half time, the game was all but done as the Joggos had already conceded three goals.

First, their Captain Gift Fred connected into his own net off Rogers Mato well delivered cross in the 3rd minute of the game.

Senoga Kagawa doubled KCCA’s lead in the 33rd minute before Moses Waiswa made it three from a free kick.

“You can see the bodies didn’t cordinate very well for the first 25 minutes that’s why we conceded those three goals”

Up next for Villa will be another tricky game as they visit defending champions Vipers at Kitende next week on Tuesday.

But despite the loss to KCCA, Magera is optimistic that his side will pick a positive result at Kitende.

“We have seen our mistakes today and I hope we shall get a good result at Kitende, he added.

The result saw Villa drop to the 6th position and remained on 14 points after nine games.

With the games coming in thick and fast, Magera’s Charges will be hoping to bounce back in the upcoming games.
