Musamali Sent off As Arua Hill Suffer Fourth Straight Loss

Wednesday, November 23
*Gaddafi 2-0 Arua Hill

Gaddafi managed to return to winning ways with a hard fought 2-0 win over Arua Hill in a dramatic league encounter at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.

Alex Kitata scored a controversial opener while Brian Kalumba double the advantage in an ill-fated game that saw Paul Musamali sent off.

With the game goalless, Gaddafi got a breakthrough at the hour-mark when Kitata arrived at the end of a good cross from Godfrey Lwesibawa to bundle home the opener.

That ensued chaos as Arua Hill players, majorly Bright Vuni, violently confronted the referee for allowing the goal to stand.

The referee had not blown his whistle when Gaddafi quickly started the freekick, and in a wrong place from the foul area, with the long ball that freed Lwesibawa at the right flank in the build up to the goal.

Musamali was later sent off, receiving a second yellow card in the 74th minute after a dangerous play on Lwesibawa.

Kalumba then got the second when he benefited from a defensive mix-up between Vuni and goalkeeper Richard Anyama to slot the ball in an unguarded net.

The final whistle was greeted with wild celebrations from the hosts while some Arua Hill players, mainly Goalkeeper Anyama had to be reinstrained away from attacking the match officials.

It’s the fourth straight loss for the Kongolos who previously fell at URA, Vipers and SC Villa.
