KCCA will meet the affiliated KCCA Makindye division managed side Weyonje NC in highly anticipated Kasasiro girls derby in Netball Super League at Kamwokya.

The fixture has come in time with both sides still so much in title contention, so it’s a do or die game.

With three games still in hand, KCCA are still unbeaten after winning all the four games they have played so far, putting them 4th on the log with 8 points and only four points behind leader NIC.

After a 39-37 crucial win over defending champions NIC in their last game, assistant KCCA coach Hassan Kato is confident his side is well prepared.

However, the side is going to miss assistant captain Shaffie Nalwanja but the coach believes that the available squad can as well do the job.

“It’s not an easy game and we don’t have any easy game on the fixture, to be a champion you have to beat the best team, so we prepared so well because we know that Weyonje is a very good strong team, one of the title contenders but at the end of the season we will do anything possible to get the win to be able to keep our target this season which is winning the title instantly,” the coach said.

“So to do that we only have to beat the stronger one because you can’t win the trophy when you can’t beat them, and this year’s season is so competitive every team is strong, but the one with good preparations takes the points.”

On the other hand, Makindye Weyonje are coming at the back of a comfortable 63-34 win over Posta in their last game.

A win can see them move to second on the log with 12 points, keeping presure on log leader NIC.

On a worrying note, they are going to be without their most valuable player Shakira Nasaka and Rehema Nakato who are injured but head coach Jesse convinced that his side can still put up a winning performance.

“We are well prepared, and we are ready to perform even though we are missing our captain Shakira Nasaka and Goal shooter Rehema”

Last season it’s was a narrow Win-lose situation when both sides met, where Weyonje won 40-39 in first round fixture and KCCA taking second round 40-38.
