The FUFA Women super league match day 8 will see Uganda Martyrs seek to bounce back to winning ways as they host wounded Lady Doves at St Gerald’s playgrounds in Lubaga.

Uganda Martyrs have fronted themselves as one of the title contenders but lost their last league game 4-1 away against Olila.

That let the top-of-the-table gap stretch to eight points and they dropped to third place on the log.

The Uganda Martyrs’ head coach Edward Ssozi Kasozi has set eyes on maximum points at home.

“I know what is around the corner but I don’t know the corner yet, history is going to repeat itself as we host Lady Doves, they are coming to our fortress in Lubaga,” the gaffer commented.

“We lost our previous game but we are eager to bounce back; we prepared well and rectified out mistakes that cost us in the game against Olila. We have done our homework and we are very ready to fight for maximum points.”

Uganda Martyrs will be without key player Patience Nabuloobi who suffered an injury in their previous game but they remain confident of picking a positive result.

Lady Doves come into this game with their targets set on picking a positive result to bounce back to winning ways and keep in touch with the leading group as they sit 10th with just 10 points collected.

They lost their previous match 1-0 at home against table leaders Kampala Queens, and a positive result away from home will be a huge boost to the Masindi-based club.
