Preview: SC Villa Has Eyes On Summit

SC Villa will have their focus on moving top of the table when they welcome Wakiso Giants in a league game at Wankulukuku

The Jogos, just a point below leaders BUL, will take the top spot if they beat Wakiso on Friday.

BUL was beaten by Express 1-0 at Wankulukuku and the record league winners have a chance to leapfrog the Jinja-based side.

Such has been an impressive start for the Jogoos who were fighting to beat relegation last season.

They have won two in a row, including the previous one against Bright Stars where Charles Bbale’s goal proved the difference.

Jackson Magera’s side has relied on a rock-solid defence to stun opponents this season, with his side having letting just one goal so far this season.

But against Wakiso Giants, they face a side that has the ability to break down defences and this promises to be a pulsating affair.

The Purple Sharks are unbeaten in five games since their opening league loss against KCCA at Lugogo.

They were denied maximum points against Vipers after the clash ended 1-1 in their last game at Wakissha.

Last season, Wakiso Giants beat SC Villa 3-1 at Kavumba with Titus Ssematimba scoring a brace and Moses Aliro on target as well. Umar Lutalo scored for then hosts who had won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Wakissha.
