UPL Monthly Awards: BUL FC Duo Clinch October Gongs

BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye and striker Richard Wandyaka have been named as the best of Uganda Premier league for the month of October.

The two were crowned at the Pilsner UPL monthly awards held on Wednesday at an awarding event held at Kati Kati restaurant in Lugogo.

Isabirye beat off competition from Ssenfuma Muhammad of Maroons and Jackson Magera of SC Villa for best coach of October.

The gaffer guided BUL FC to the top of the table with 11 points from five games in a spell they won three and drawn two games.

They managed to start off the season on a high as they walloped Blacks Power 5-0 away from home, beat UPDF FC 3-1, drew 1-1 against URA FC, a 1-0 win against SC Villa and a goalless draw in their first Busoga region derby against Busoga United.

Wandyaka managed to get involved in six league goals for BUL FC in the league, scoring four and two assists to take home the best October player.

He beat off competition from teammate Karim Ndugwa and Fred Amaku from Maroons.
