Express managed to overcome table leaders BUL FC in a closely contested Uganda Premier League encounter at Wankulukuku.
Allan Kayiwa scored the only goal of the game as the Red Eagles handed BUL their first league loss of the 2022/23 season.
Kayiwa struck in the 11th minute from just outside the box to continue his fine form since joining Express from Vipers.
It’s the fourth league goal for the former Tooro United winger in the Express shirt this campaign.
Richard Wandyaka and Karim Ndugwa who have both notched four goals each, were kept at bay by a resolute Express defence.
Express shot-stopper Denis Otim also kept out former Express striker Frank Kalanda, and the hosts held on for a needed win.
Express who have played a game less than BUL, move to 11 points, just three below the leaders.
