Preview: Express Bank On Home Advantage To Stop Leaders BUL

Express will fancy their chances against early pace setters as the two sides meet at Wankulukuku on match-day of the Uganda Premier League.
The Red Eagles, last week, waived entry fees for the Ladies and have been selling early bird tickets at Sh5000.
And without doubt, they are targeting to have maximum attendance to elevate the good atmosphere as they seek to bring back those glory days.

This fixture finds Express having rested a couple of good days after they were not included on the Match-day six menu (because there are 15 teams this season).
Their last game was October 28 and will come into the fixture with fresher legs.
They then beat Onduparaka 2-1 at Bombo with Daniel Shabena and Marvin Oshaba netting the goals, with the latter on target on his first start for what is his fist goal in Red Eagles colours.

In BUL, they find a team beaming with confidence as they sit atop with 14 points in 6 games.
But Express are well aware that a win will cut that deficit to just three points, with a game in hand!
Just like Express, BUL’s last league game was against Onduparaka, and the Eastern giants needed a late Karim Ndugwa strike to collect maximum points.

BUL FC have been brilliant this campaign, and with some of the expected title contender still in deep slumber, Alex Isabirye’s side might have a bigger say in this title contest.

Led by a pair of Ndugwa and Richard Wandyaka who have scored four goals apiece, Express will need to double their efforts if they are to stun the leaders.
But BUL have drawn their last two away games – sharing spoils with URA at Nakisunga and Gaddafi at Kakindu in a Jinja derby.
It’s strong to note that Express beat BUL home and away last season, with BUL’s last win coming way back in 2019.
Last season at Wankulukuku, Express won 2-1; George Kasonko scored in his own net while Martin Kiiza doubled Express advantage. Simon Peter Oketch brought one back for the Visitors.
