Paul Kiwanuka joins Rwandan club as head coach

Former Bright stars head coach Paul Kiwanuka has been named as head coach for Rwanda Top flight side Gasogi United.

He joins the side after throwing in the towel at Busoga United, where he has been for their opening two games.

These new developments were made official via Gasogi United official club social media handles.

“Our interim coaches , head coach Kiwanuka Paul. Assistance coach : Dusange Sasha.

Previously, Kiwanuka has had stints at Bright stars where he was for the best part of last season. He was at Vipers as an assistant to Fred Kajoba before he also handled the side as head coach.

At Gasogi, Kiwanuka replaces Egyptian coach Ahmed Adel, who was sacked on 31st October this year after a poor run of the results.

And Kiwanuka’s major task will be to put things right at the club in the ongoing season.

Gasogi are currently sitted sixth with 10 points after six games, six points below current leaders Kiyovu Sports.

Kiwanuka’s first game in charge will be an away trip to Espoir on Sunday 6th November.

Gasogi United is a club that plays in the Rwanda Premier Legaue.
