She Corporate FC and Lady Doves played out to a 1- all draw in a Fufa Women super league game at Mubs arena in Nakawa on Saturday.
Nandera Everline scored first for the Believers before Joanita Ainembabazi levelled matters to ensure that her side avoided defeat.
It was another frustrating result for the defending champions She Corporate, who have struggled in these opening six games.
And on Saturday, it was the visitors who scored first through Nandera, who tapped in passed an onrushing She Corporate goalkeeper to put her side ahead.
But Ainembabazi headed in home off a well taken corner from Cissy Nantongo to level matters before the break.
After the break, the hosts returned back the better side but failed to break a well organized Lady Doves side.
The Sharks, who were dorminant had plenty of chances to score more but Ainembabazi sent her effort wide when Infront of goal before Cissy Nantongo missed with just a tap in off Nabumba’s well taken free kick.
Throughout the entire game, Lady Doves top scorer Norah Alupo was silenced by the Sharks defenders before she was taken off later in the second half.
In the end, nothing could separate the two sides and hence settled for a point.
The result ensured that Lady Doves moved to the third position with now 10 points after six games so far.
For She Corporate, who are defending champions, they moved to the sixth position with now six points. But they are now nine points below leaders Kampala Queens, who even have a game in hand on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Uganda Martyrs H/S Lubaga picked a deserved 4-1 win over UCU in a game held in Lubaga.
Goals from Kevin Nakacwa, Latifah Nakasi,
Catherine Nagadya (penalty) and Sumaya Nalumu ensured that the Lubaga based side bagged maximum points.
Ashait Naluggwa scored the only goal from the Spot for UCU as they suffered defeat on the road.
Victory ensured that Uganda Martrys moved to 13 points and are now two points below current leaders Kampala Queens.
Action will continue on Sunday with only one game as leaders Kampala Queens host Olila High school at the Fufa technical centre in Njeru.
