Onduparaka In Third Straight Goalless Draw

Wednesday, October 12
*Gaddafi 0-0 Onduparaka – Kakindu stadium
*UPDF FC 3-2 Busoga United – Bombo

Onduparaka registered their third goalless draw in as many games after they held Gaddafi in a league game at Kakindu in Jinja.

And the result leaves Gaddafi without a goal as well, and with just a point to show in two games, having lost to SC Villa 2-0 in their opener.

It’s another poor result for Coach Wasswa Bbosa who is yet to hit the ground running despite a busy transfer window.

Gaddafi dominated the early minutes of the game and they had a chance to open up the scores but Mahad Yaya fumbled with a golden chance to put his shot wide in the 5th minute.

There was pressure and panic in the Onduparaka defence when goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga was forced into a mistake after he handled a back pass for an indirect free kick to Gaddafi.

But Johnson Odong failed to hit the target as he forced the indirect free-kick wide to deny the hosts an opener.

Besides that, Gaddafi failed to sustain their attack and the Visitors started to grow and asked some questions.

The Caterpillars had a couple of chances in the second stanza but striker Abonga Dominic who was making his debut failed to beat goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa in a one on one situation on two separate occasions.

Onduparaka currently sit in the 11th position with one point after starting the season with -2 points due to a FUFA ban that include playing first five home games on neutral venue behind closed doors.

Gaddafi sit 14th with just a point from two games but they will carry home the positives picked after securing their first point in the season.
