Kampala Queens continued with their impressive start in the season following a 4-1 win over Uganda Martyrs Lubaga In a FUFA Women super league game held on Saturday at Kabojja.

Resty Nanziri bagged a brace while Hasifa Nassuna and Zainah Namuleme each scored a goal as the Queens picked a deserved win.

Latifah Nakasi scored the only goal as her side suffered the first loss of the season.

It is a fourth straight win for Kampala Queens and they move to 12 points and are still on top of the league after four games.

On Saturday, it was business as usual for the Queens as they showed early intent in the game.

Nanziri put them ahead in the 10th minute with a fine finish, thanks to a pass from Margret Kunihira.

And she doubled her side’s lead in the 25th minute heading in home off a well taken corner from Kunihira again.

In added time of half time, Nassuna also put her name on the scoresheet, with Kunihira turning provider once again.

At the restart, the hosts continued with their dorminance and it paid off through Captain Namuleme, who made it five in the 59th, with Nassuna turning the provider.

With seven minutes past the hour mark, Nakasi pulled one for the visitors, a goal that only turned out to be a consolation.

Victory ensured that Kampala Queens continued with their brilliant start this season. They are now on top with 12 points and still on top.

For Uganda Martyrs, it’s their first loss in the season and they remain stuck on 7 points after four games.

What Next – Kmpala Queens will visit UCU Lady Cardinals next week on Sunday while Uganda Martyrs host She Mak on the same day in Lubaga.
