BUL Ease Past UPDF in Njeru

BUL FC’s strong start to the season continued with an impressive 3-1 victory over UPDF in the Uganda Premier League at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.

Second half goals from Karim Ndugwa, Richard Wandyaka and Frank Kalanda gave the Eastern Giants their second win.

UPDF new Signing Ibrahim Magandaazi pulled one back from the spot for the visitors.

After two matches, BUL are the highest scorers in the league with 8 goals after a 5-0 win in the opener over Blacks Power.

UPDF winless run against BUL at Home now stretches to 4 games, they last won there in 2016.

The Army side have conceded at least 3 goals in their last 3 visits to BUL.

There was nothing to write about in the first half with the only notable chance falling to Hillary Onek whose shot went wide.

The hosts came back in the second half more hungry and it took them just seven minutes to take the lead through Ndugwa.

Wandyaka doubled the hosts’ lead three minutes into the hour mark before Frank Kalanda sealed it in the 77th minute.

Magandaazi put his name on the scoresheet from the spot in the 80th minute to register his first goal for his new side.

BUL FC sits top of the log with 6 points in 2 matches while UPDF are 11th with 1 point after 2 matches.

BUL will return to action on Friday 14th away to URA at Nakisunga Saza Ground while UPDF will host Busoga United on Wednesday 12th.
