NBL Finals: City Oilers Seek To Extend Lead

*City Oilers Vs Nam Blazers – 8:30pm

City Oilers will target to extend their lead when they meet Nam Blazers on Wednesday in game four of the NBL Finals at Lugogo.

The Oilers beat Blazers 70-68 in a closely contested game three on Sunday to regain their lead.

And are now two wins away from winning their record extending eighth league title in a row!

It looked like Nam Blazers would be swept after falling game one against an experienced side, but they levelled the tie last Friday to give themselves a fighting stance.

But they are on the edge of losing grip on the finals if they fail to put up a good show in game four of the best of seven series.

The Blazers are yet to get enough contribution outside their starters, with their bench managing just 11 points against Oilers’ 24 last Sunday.

Chris Omanye is still their go to player in the back court while Amisi Saidi and David Dikong have blown hot and cold

For Oilers, Jimmy Enabu is yet to stamp his authority in these series and yet to influence the direction of the games as he would have waited, with the guard managing just 7 points on Sunday.

While Davis Siaji and Ivan Muhwezi had one and zero point respectively, and will need to show up otherwise much workload will be left to the starters.

Oilers have not hit their top gear so far, with their game still lacking urgency and precision, but are still in control of proceedings and that is one thing the Blazers should be worried about.

The Blazers have shown belief and heart at least, and their fans have been top notch throughout, but they will need more than that to stop an indomitable enemy.
