Patrick Ochan: Former Uganda Cranes Midfielder Joins Kigezi Homeboyz

Kigezi Home Boyz FC have announced the capture of former Uganda Cranes defensive midfielder Patrick Ochan.

The Veteran has joined the Western region side on a one year deal, with an option of renewal.

With no more details from the club, Ochan who has been studying coaching, is expected to work as a coach-player.

He brings in a lot of experience to the Gorillas having featured for a number of clubs in Uganda and abroad.

In recent times, Ochan last played for Kyetume FC in the 2019 season.

The journey man also featured for URA here in Uganda, St. George in South Africa and TP Mazembe In Dr Congo.

At Kigezi, Ochan becomes the first official signing as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Last season, Kigezi lost on penalities 4-3 to Kaaro Karungi FC in the Fufa Big league play off finals, in game played in June at Kyamate grounds.

They had earlier on been relegated to the third tier division after the end of the regular 2021 Big league season.

But with Ochan’s addition, Kigezi are now assembling a side that will favourably compete in the third tier division as they target a return to the FUFA Big league.
