We Slept on Duty – She Corporate Head coach Hassan Isa

She Corporates head coach Hassan Isa says his side “slept on duty” in their home defeat to Kampala Queens on Sunday.

The defending champions suffered a 2-1 loss to the Queens in their second game of the ongoing FUFA Women Super League.

Speaking after the game, Coach Isa was quick to say that it was a bad day in office.

“It has been a bad day in office and we didn’t expect this result but that’s football, you sometimes win or lose,” Isa told the pressmen after game.

She Corporates forward Favour Nambatya had put the her side ahead in the 62nd minute.

But the visitors, Kampala Queens, levelled matters two minutes later through Resty Nanziri before captain Shamira Naluggya converted from the spot to complete a come back from the Queens, something Isa says his side slept on duty.

“As you can see we scored the first goal and we slightly slept on duty and they took advantage. So we need to improve on our attacking and defense to become a better side.”

The loss against Kampala Queens, a likely title contender, revealed more work to do for the Nakawa based club this season.

Throughout the game on Sunday, the visitors, Kampala Queens, were the better side on the day and the win didn’t come by surprise.

And to Isa, he says this result will give them more lessons to go back to the drawing board.

“This result is going to teach us a lot and it will make us to work hard, like the way we started last season, we need determination and go back to the drawing board so that we can become a better side in the next games. I believe we still have 16 games, we can still make it and become champions”

After two games, She Corporates, who are the defending champions now lie in the 6th position with just a single point.

They will visit Uganda Martyrs in their next game this weekend.
