Uganda Premier League side Wakiso Giants have confirmed their new signings and the departures ahead of the season that kicks off on Friday.
The Purple Sharks earlier confirmed John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda as their Head coach replacing Alex Gitta.
The Wakiso based side acquired the services of former Vipers Goalkeeper Bashir Sekagya from Kenyan Side Wazito United while Mikidad Ssenyonga and Mubarak Nsubuga joined from URA and Police Respectively.
However, Mubarak Nsubuga suffered a nasty injury and requested to terminate his contract to allow him a steady recovery.
Apollo Kagogwe from relegated Tooro United and Pascal Irasa are the two centerbacks signed by Ayala as well as Defensive Midfielder Lincoln Mukisa from Police.
Striker Norman Ogik returned to the club from Onduparaka and Buddu Ssaza pair of Right Back Collins Onega and Midfielder Marvin Nyanzi from Buganda Regional League side Kajjansi United.
The club also promoted Marvin Mukiibi and Andrew Kalyango from the Academy.
Among those who left the club was Long serving Defender Fahad Kawooya and Hassan Wasswa Dazo who requested to leave due to frequent injuries.
Goalkeeper Derrick Emukule, Simon Namwanja, Pius Kaggwa, Frank Ssenyondo and Edward Satulo also exited the club.
Ivan Bogere and Sam Senyonjo had their loan deals expire.
