Uganda men’s national beach Soccer team, the Sand Cranes got their 2022 COSAFA tournament off the mark.
The Sand Cranes beat Tanzania 4-2 in their opening group B game in Durban, South Africa.
Player of the match Ambrose Kigozi scored a brace while Joshua Lubwama and Isma Kawawulo added one each.
Goodluck Gama and Jaruph Juma scored one each for Tanzania as the two East African guests faced off.
It’s also a positive start for new coach Angelo Schrinzi who will be using the tournament to gauge his players ahead of the Beach Soccer AFCON due next month in Mozambique.
