Bright Stars Land Vipers Duo

Uganda Premier League side Bright Stars have acquired Vipers attacking midfielder Frank Kizanyiro and defender Bob Oluoch each on a one year loan deal.

The two said players were officially unveiled at the Japanese-owned club this week before the transfer market deadline.

The pair, who have been at the kitende based side, have found it hard to cement a starting place in the team and thus being loaned out for more game time.

In the just concluded transfer window, Birght Stars have been active as they seek to assemble a more competitive side than last season.

They have already acquired former Proline FC Skipper Nordin Bunjo and former KCCA FC forward Samuel Ssenyonjo.

Forward Amis Muwonge, midfielder Alex Mandela from Kigezi Home Boyz, youngster Ashraf Mulindi are among the new entrants at the club.

But the club has also lost a couple of players, including midfielder Marvin Youngman, who crossed to Vipers while defenders Andrew Kaggwa and Derrick Ngobi joined Express FC.

The Stars, who spent the best of last season in a relegation battle, are now in a rebuilding process under new gaffer Asaph Mwebaze.

They will kick off their new campaign with a trip to Kitende as they face defending Champions Vipers SC next week.
