Uganda Premier League side Solitilo Bright Stars have officially announced the signing of Sam Ssenyonjo ahead of the upcoming 2022/2023 season.
Ssenyonjo joins Bright Stars after ending his stay at KCCA, having featured for Wakiso Giants last season on loan.
The striker featured in Bright Stars’ pre-season friendly match against his former pay masters KCCA FC.
The promising striker fell out of favour under new KCCA FC boss Morley Byekwaso before he was sent out on loan.
He was also part of the Uganda U20 national side which took part in the U20 AFCON tournament in Mauritius in 2021.
Ssenyonjo joins Bright Stars who are undergoing a transition under coach Asaph Mwebaze having lost a couple of experienced senior players in the ongoing transfer window.
Bright Stars who finished 11th last season with 36 after beating the relegation battle with just eight points to stay in the league have embarked on a rebuilding process which has seen them sign a couple of younger players.
