The Queens won 5-0 to get off the mark in a one-sided game at IUIU Kabojja play ground.

Goals from Sumaya Komuntale, Shamirah Nalugya, Resty Nanziri, Margaret Kunihira and Lilian Mutuuzo handed Kampala Queens a strong start.

Kampala Queens now take an early lead at the table with a better goal difference.

Defender and new signing Komuntale put the hosts ahead with just seven minutes in the game after curling in a beautiful free-kick.

Kampala Queens pushed Asubo Gafford to the ropes and dominated play which saw Nalugya double their lead in the 34th minute to take a comfortable halftime lead.

With just seven minutes into the second stanza, striker Nanziri registered her name on the score sheet with a goal in the 52nd minute to put the Queens in a 3-0 lead.

Kunihira and second half substitute Mutuuzo added the icing on the cake to complete a thumping.

Having invested a lot in the transfer market, Kampala Queens’ target in the 2022/2023 season is nothing less than a title which they lost last season by just a goal difference.
