Uganda’s representatives at the CAF Confederation Cup, BUL FC will be eyeing a place in the next round when they meet Egyptian side Future FC at the second leg of the CAF Confederation cup preliminary round.

BUL dug themselves a deep hole when they failed to win the first leg, with the two sides playing out a goalless draw at Kitende last week on Saturday.

Its a result BUL could take any day though having been the second best despite missing some good chances in the closing stages.

But with Uganda’s poor history against the Maghreb teams, it is an uphill task that await BUL in Cairo.

Speaking ahead of the game, head coach Alex Isabirye said that his boys know the task at hand and is optimistic his side will progress.

“In our first game, we drew goalless since luck wasn’t on our side. But now we are going to do our best, utilise our chances and the boys know the task at hand,” Isabirye told the club’s media.

Playing away from home, BUL has to be at their absolute best which include taking away any half chance and defend resolutely to have any hope of progressing.

But with Future FC, also debutants on the continent, it is another advantage to the Jinja based club.

After the first leg at Kitende, Isabirye promised to play an attack minded game in Cairo, but the game must choose his poison wisely.

Any goal-draw will see BUL progress as away goals rule is still applicable in Africa.

They are without George Kasonko as it was the case in the first leg due to player’s documentation.

The winner on aggregate will progress to round one of the CAF Confederation cup and will meet the overall winner between Benin’s Buffles du Borgou and Sierra Leone’s Kallon FC.
