Salim Abdallah: Former SC Villa Midfielder Joins URA

Uganda premier League side URA have completed the signing of exciting midfielder Salim Abdallah on a two year’s deal.

He joins the Tax men on a free transfer after ending his spell with SC Villa, where he has been for the past seasons.

It has been understood that Salim has been training with the club for the past five weeks and he impressed.

He is the latest addition for URA after goal keeper Yusuf Wasswa, right back James Begisa and forward George Senkaaba.

In the ongoing transfer market, the club has also lost a couple of players including forward Steven Mukwala, who sealed a move to Ghana outfit Asante Kotoko.

Ashraf Mandela and Cromwell Rwothomio crossed to Vipers while Arafat Galiwango, Moses Sseruyidde also left the club.

Last season, URA finished third with 55 points but they are now assembling a side that will favourably compete next season.

The new Uganda premier season will kick off on 30th this month with a couple of games at different venues.
