Ugandan Striker Sadat Anaku made his Dundee United senior team debut on Wednesday night.
The former KCCA FC forward came off the bench as Dundee United beat Livingston 2-1 in the Premier Sports Cup.
Steven Fletcher and Ian Harkes were on target, with the former paving way for Anaku in the 84th minute at Tonny Macaroni Arena.
Anaku showed intent and won a couple of fouls before the final whistle.
The Ugandan Striker will be hoping that this is the first of many games for him to feature and will be targeting to make an immediate impact at his new club.
The win that snaps Dundee United’s five-game losing streak, sees the club advance to the Quarterfinals where they will meet Kilmarnock on October 18.
He is expected to be named in the match-day squad against Motherwell, home for Bevis Mugabi, this Saturday at Fir Park in the league.
It has been turbulent times for Dundee United in the last couple of days, majorly sacking coach Jack Ross after losing 9-0 against Celtic over the weekend.
