Newly promoted Maroons FC have confirmed signing goalkeeper Simon Tamale as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Shot stopper has joined the Luzira-based side after ending his stint at Bright Stars.
He is expected to compete for a starting place with Emmanuel Akol and Amir Nalugoda in goal.
“I like everything about Maroons, this is a great club with a rich history and they play splendid entertaining football,” he told Maroons media.
“I am clear I want to play not be on the bench but I know the situation here being stiff competition from already established Akol and Nalugoda.
“It’s the first time in my career to be coached by two GoalKeeping coaches, I will be much interested to see how I can learn from them and them learning from me.”
He is the 11th signing at the club after Frederick Kigozi, Umar Kyebatala, Isaac Mpagi, Lawrence Tezikya, David Ndihabwe, Brian Nkubi, Jacob Okao, Samson Kigozi, Arafat Kakonge and Noel Nassasira.
