South African forward Percy Tau has parted ways with Egyptian side Al Ahly, as first reported by SuperSport.
The exit has been imminent since the departure of coach Pitso Mosimane who engineered his move to Egypt from Brighton.
He leaves Al Ahly, a club he helped win the CAF Super Cup against Raja Casablanca in shootouts at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan (Qatar).
The club is yet to confirm the departure of Tau who has scored five goals in 22 appearances.

Tau joined Al Ahly from the English Premier League side on August 26 2021 to end his three-year stay at the club where he made just six appearances including a league debut against Man City.
His stay at Brighton included loan spells at three Belgian clubs – Royale Union, Club Brugge and Anderlecht.
And he has been linked to a return to Belgium, with Anderlecht leading chasers for his signature.
He started at Mamelodi Sundowns in 2013 before leaving for Brighton in 2018.
