Express Confirm Signing Yusuf Ssozi

Uganda Premier League side Express FC have unveiled Midfielder Yusuf Ssozi.

Ssozi joins the Red Eagles on a two-year deal until 2024 after ending his stay at relegated side Police.

He is the second Police FC player to join Express from Police in this transfer window after striker Marvin Oshaba.

“I am very happy to be joining one of the countries greatest teams, with very many talented players and rich history, I am motivated by it’s great history and am ready to give my best,” Ssozi is quoted by the Club Website.

“Ssozi is one of the best experienced midfielders in the country, having him in the team will be a very good especially for the young players who will learn a lot from him.”

Ssozi’s football journey started at St Peter & Paul Junior School before joining Villa Academy under coach Paul Nkata and Ibrahim Kirya when he was 11 years.

He featured in FUFA Big League with Lweza FC who joined the top flight in the 2014-2015 season.

He later moved to Nairobi City Stars in Kenya , AFC Leopards still in Kenya, Kalulushi Modern Stars in Zambia before returning in the country with Paidha Black Angels in 2018 where he would later leave to join Police FC.

Other new signings at the Club include Benjamin Gakumba, Anwar Ntege, Andrew Kaggwa, Marvin Oshaba and Hamim Ssemakula.
