Ghana To Face Brazil In Pre-World Cup Friendly

African Powerhouse Ghana Black Stars have lined up a friendly with Brazil in build up to their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.

The high profile friendly will be held on September 23 2022 at a yet to be named venue in Europe.

The developments were confirmed on Friday by Ghana Football Association.

Ghana says that they have utilised the gap that has presented itself after CAF postponed AFCON 2023 Qualifiers.

Ghana FA added that the match will give Black Stars coach Otto Addo a platform to fine tune his players for the forthcoming World Cup in Qatar.

They are grouped in Pool that has Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay while five-time World Champions Brazil have Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon.

Ghana have lost all their four meetings with the Selecao, the last meeting was a friendly, with Brazil winning 1-0 courtesy of a goal by Leandro Damiao at Craven Cottage (London).
