Uganda Cranes To Face Ethiopia In Two Friendlies

Uganda Cranes will play Ethiopia twice in Friendlies before visiting Tanzania for the first leg of the CHAN Qualifiers.

The Cranes will face Ethiopian on Friday before the second friendly on Sunday in Adama City.

Coach Milutin Micho Sredejovic says that the two Friendlies will help fine-tune the team.

“Ethiopia is a good team and 95% of their national team players feature in their local league. They beat Egypt in the AFCON Qualifiers and that speaks volumes,” Micho is quoted by FUFA.

Uganda was supposed to face Malawi in another friendly but the process have hit a dead end and hence a camp in Zanzibar has been put in place instead to help the team acclimatize.

The team will be joined by Vipers players on Wednesday before flying out on Thursday.

Uganda will face Tanzania in the first leg on 28th August at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium while the return leg will be played on 3rd September at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
