Wakiso Giants have unveiled midfielder Mikidad Ssenyonga as their latest signing.
Ssenyonga has joined the Purple Sharks on a two-year deal after expiry of his contract at URA FC.
He becomes the second signing under new coach John ‘Ayala’ Luyinda after the club recently confirmed the addition of goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya.
Ssenyonga started out at Happy Boys Football Academy in Kyengera before joining Express Junior team and later signed for KJT FC.
He had brilliant spells at the Masaza Cup, reaching the final on four occassions, despite failing to end up on a winning side – twice at Ssingo, once at Buddu and Busiro.
He will look to strengthen a strong Wakiso Giants midfield that also has Hassan Ssenyonjo, Ibrahim Kasule and Joshua Lubwama among others.
The Purple Sharks finished seventh with 39 points last season and will seek to improve on that performance next season.
